Overview of Services

Joyful Journey College Consulting provides personalized college consulting services, including but not limited to:
 

  • College guidance and planning

  • Application support

  • Essay coaching and review

  • Comprehensive college admissions support
     

Services are tailored to each student’s individual needs and may vary based on selected package or agreement.

No Guarantee of Admission or Outcomes

Joyful Journey College Consulting provides personalized guidance, strategy, and support throughout the college application process. While we are deeply committed to helping students present their strongest, most authentic applications, we do not guarantee admission to any college or university.

Admissions decisions are made solely by the institutions to which a student applies and are influenced by many factors beyond our control.

 

From time to time, we may share resources or general guidance related to scholarships or financial aid opportunities. However, we do not complete, submit, or manage scholarship or financial aid applications unless specifically agreed upon in writing. Outcomes related to scholarships or financial aid are determined by the awarding institutions.

Client Responsibilities

Students and families agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information

  • Meet all deadlines set by colleges and universities

  • Review all materials before submission

  • Submit applications and required materials themselves unless otherwise agreed
     

Joyful Journey College Consulting provides guidance and support, but final responsibility for submitted content and application completion remains with the student and family.

Essay Integrity and Authenticity

Joyful Journey College Consulting provides feedback, coaching, and strategic guidance on college essays and written materials. Our role is to help students clarify their voice, strengthen structure, and refine ideas.

All final written work must remain the student’s own. We do not write essays on behalf of students, nor do we create original content for submission.

Students are responsible for ensuring that all submitted materials accurately reflect their own experiences, perspectives, and work.

Parent / Guardian Involvement

While we may communicate directly with students, our services are intended to be engaged with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

 

Parents or guardians remain responsible for financial commitments and major decisions regarding services.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be outlined in individual service agreements.
 

Unless otherwise stated:
 

  • Payment may be required prior to the start of services.

  • Payments made via Zelle or other approved methods are considered authorized and final.

  • Refund eligibility, if applicable, will be defined in the service agreement.
     

Failure to submit payment as agreed may result in suspension or termination of services.

Scheduling and Communication

Appointments are scheduled through Calendly or as otherwise arranged.
 

We strive to respond to email and phone communications in a timely manner during normal business hours. Response times may vary during peak admissions seasons.
 

Missed appointments without notice may be subject to rescheduling policies outlined in individual service agreements.

Third-Party Tools

Our website and scheduling system may utilize third-party platforms, including Calendly.

We are not responsible for technical issues, privacy practices, or service interruptions related to third-party providers.

Website Use

All content on this website, including text, graphics, and resources, is provided for informational purposes only.
 

You agree not to:
 

  • Copy or distribute website content without permission

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt to disrupt website functionality

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Joyful Journey College Consulting shall not be liable for:
 

  • College admissions decisions

  • Scholarship or financial aid outcomes

  • Missed deadlines or application errors made by students

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services
     

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for services rendered.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or services provided shall be handled in York County, South Carolina.

Modifications

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be reflected by a revised effective date on this page.

 

Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
